Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026

Forensix is a software tool that helps you organise receipts and expenses and produces tax-ready data. It is not a tax adviser, accountant, financial adviser, or legal adviser, and it does not file your taxes. All figures it produces are estimates for organisational purposes only. You remain responsible for your own tax affairs and should confirm your position with a qualified gestor or accountant.

1. Who we are

Forensix ("Forensix", "we", "us") provides a web application at forensix.app that scans receipts, categorises expenses, and prepares data for UK and Spanish tax purposes. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

2. What the service is, and is not

Forensix is an organisation and automation tool. It extracts data from receipts, applies categorisation, performs estimated tax calculations, and generates exports (such as a Gestor Pack). It is not a substitute for professional tax, accounting, financial, or legal advice. We are not regulated as a financial or tax adviser. Tax outcomes depend on your individual circumstances, and the law changes. Always verify figures and filings with a qualified professional before acting on them.

3. No warranty on tax accuracy

We work hard to keep our tax logic accurate and we apply automated checks, but we do not warrant that any calculation, categorisation, deductibility determination, or extracted figure is complete or correct. You are solely responsible for reviewing the data, for what you submit to any tax authority, and for any taxes, interest, or penalties arising from your filings.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you upload.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

Forensix offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan (£19.99/month or the equivalent annual price). Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan reverts to Free at the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to break its security or rate limits, upload unlawful content, or use it to provide a competing service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Your data and content

You retain ownership of the receipts and data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that data to provide the service (including processing receipt images through our AI provider to extract data). How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forensix is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any tax, interest, penalties, or losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its outputs. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. We may modify or discontinue the service. You may stop using it and delete your account at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

11. Contact

These terms are provided in good faith and in plain English. They are general terms of use, not legal advice for your situation.
